Can you set-up read receipts for one contact in iOS 16?

Is this feature on/off for all contacts, or are we able to select a contact? Thanks

Yes you can. Open the Messages app ➡️ Tap on the contact ➡️ Tap on Contact Icon (Top Center) ➡️ Send Read Receipts: Set this to ON.

NOTE: This will only work on iMessages and not on SMS messages.
