IPhone 14 setup

I transferred data from an Apple SE to an IPhone14. Everything went well except when I tested it with a phone call my old phone rang and my new one didn't. Does anyone have any suggestions?

  1. Did you take the old SIM out of the old phone and either put it into the new phone or discarded it? Or did you disable the old eSIM and set up the new phone with the eSIM?
  2. Did you do the following after getting the SIMs in the right phone

On both phones...

Settings, Messages, Turn off iMessage

Settings, Face Time, Turn off Face Time

Restart the phone.

Settings, Messages, Turn on iMessage, SMS, MMS

Settings, Messages, send & Receive, select your number which should now be there.
