Apple Watch Ultra warranty

Hello

I am well aware that Apple Watch radio freq are different is USA vs Europe but since this is a watch for travelers what does happen if I need repair or service on a U.S. watch traveling Europe or other counties? Does Apple no longer carry international support/ repair . This is for me a no brainer and a no go to purchase if not covered?

what about iPones, iPads or Macs?

regards

What did the footnote say after that statement?

If it is a GPS only watch then those could be replaced internationally, there are no radio regulations interfering. If it is a GPS+Cellular like the Ultra it either works in North America or it works in the rest of the world. If it is a North American version and it fails say in Borneo and needs to be replaced they will not have the correct model to replace it with. They could replace it with the rest of the world version if they have one but then when the person returns to the US they will not be able to use the cellular services on the watch.

Statutory warranties are guaranteed by consumer law as determined by a government in a territory and are not set by manufacturers. Because of that they apply only in one territory. Your Apple Watch warranty for a device in the US is not valid for a claim in Germany, for example.

If you buy AppleCare+ for Apple Watch from Apple, however, the coverage is international (at least bought in the US - this may differ in other countries). Note that not every Apple product has this 'global' coverage. You can purchase AppleCare+ only up to sixty days after the purchase of your device. See AppleCare Products - Watch - Apple for details, including the advice Global repair coverage: Get local Apple hardware service when traveling around the world.

Note that nowhere in the link you provided the OP suggests AppleCare+ plans for AppleWatch somehow open international coverage.

I think you may be mistaken lobsterghost1. Apple's statement about global repair coverage for Apple Watch covered by an AppleCare+ plan in the linked page seems unambiguous.

Just so you know, since Apple Watch is sold by region, AppleCare+ would also follow the region it was sold in. Apple would NOT be able to replace a US purchased AppleWatch under AppleCare+ in another country. So, you are incorrect in your statement that AppleCare+ for Apple Watch provides international coverage. Note that nowhere in the link you provided the OP suggests AppleCare+ plans for AppleWatch somehow open international coverage.
