How do you resolve this problem “ This iPhone is open in another window”
What version of Mac OS do you have? If it is Catalina or later you don’t use iTunes anymore, you use Finder, and it may mean that the finder window is open to the iPhone.

I was able to sync my iTunes files into my iPhone 14 using Finder.
I opened Finder
I clicked on Music and the connected iPhone was shown and I was given tho option to sync the music files.
Note: if you have iTunes on several portals it may not sync.
I deleted iTunes program my other iPhone. I think iTunes allows to sync into four portals max.

If you are doing it any other way you are using an unsupported method, and the results will be unpredictable.
Where are you seeing this message?
The message came up when iPhone 14 is connected to Mac Pro laptop after opening itune in an attempt to move music from the lpatop into the iPhone.
