We can’t use SIM cards not supported by Apple 🤷🏾‍♂️

No it is not crazy. Your iPhone is locked to one carrier. You, therefore, cannot use a SIM card from any other carrier, including TextNow. You need a Carrier Unlocked iPhone to be able to use other carrier SIM cards.

Contact the carrier that your iPhone is locked to and ask them about requirements to get it unlocked so that you can use it with TextNow.
