The changes to Apple Books in iOS16 are terrible.
The normal skeuomorphic page turn is now gone, the controls are hidden and difficult to find and enact. When the pagers turn while it dark mode, a flash occurs which is terribly distractive.
Bring back the old one.
I believe you will loose users of Apple Books, including myself, when I find an alternative that works with the. Apple Book library.
I agree with you. I use a fifth generation iPad and iBooks is now sluggish, doesn’t bookmark the correct page and produces error messages. I don’t understand why they’ve changed it cosmetically but not made any improvements only to break what was a very serviceable app.

Yes this is another example of a company with a bloated workforce of software creators who have lost their way. Take something that works and screw it up. Hey Tim, time to shitcan half of your personnel and give them some clear objectives.
Now we need to convince Apple to fix it!
