The latest user guide says that you need an iPhone 8 and iOS 16 to pair with any Apple Watch. Obviously, since the Apple Watch Series 5 and iPhone 7 were issued before iOS 16, there must be a way to pair the two. How can I reach the older user guide to pair the older iPhone 7 with the older Apple Watch Series 5?

Randy, the iPhone 7 is running iOS 15.7, which is the latest that is supported on the 7. Please give me a hint on how to get to the operating system version on the Apple Watch 6 (not a 5 ... sorry about typo), since the Watch is stuck on the screen that says to pair it with an iPhone and won't let me do anything but choose a language. Thanks for the assistance.
