How to stop voice dictation adding an ‘s after a name or word.

How can I get Apple’s voice dictation to stop adding an ‘s after names and words when it does not belong there. I feel like I have to speak like I’m talking to a child when using voice dictation anyway, but it still adds that ‘s and it’s driving me insane.

I’ve tried all of that. It still adds an ‘s to names. I’ve tried different speech patterns, accents, and even spoke as if speaking to someone who doesn’t understand anything I say. I’ve spoken with other people and they have the same experience. It seems as though Apple needs to fix something in the code. It’s certainly not a lack of trying or not understanding how to speak into a microphone.

Hello malpais03,

We'd like to help with with your situation with your voice not being recognized properly.

Use Dictation on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support goes over dictation and how to use it.

Since you seem to be having an issue being recognized, check the case you use is causing the iPhone not to hear you properly.

Use the Voice Memo app and record yourself. Are you able to hear yourself clearly in these recordings?

Contact Apple Support if you need further help.

Cheers.
