My Find My live tracking used to work but now does not. How do I fix this?

We appreciate the information, Sericsul60799. We have some steps for you to walk through that may resolve the issue. We also have additional questions to help us narrow down what may be causing your iPhone to have this issue.


  1. Make sure your device is fully updated to the latest iOS version available. If that's iOS 15, the latest is 15.7.1. If that's iOS 16, the latest is 16.1.
    1. Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
  2. Restart your iPhone and test again.
  3. If you are using a Wi-Fi network, test it while using cellular only. If you've noticed the issue while using cellular data, test using while connected to a Wi-Fi network.


Are and your wife part of a Family Share?

How far behind are the updates to the shared location for you?


We'll start with that, then work from there. We look forward to hearing back from you.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. First, we need to make sure that Location Services is still enabled on your device. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security, and confirm that Location Services is set to On. More info on that can be found here:


Turn Location Services and GPS on or off on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
