How to screen record on iPhone without home button appearing?

Specifically talking about the line on the bottom of the screen you swipe up on to access the homescreen. Been looking online but to no avail. I want to screen record on my iPhone without the home button being visible on the video, or while I'm recording. Nothing that I'm trying out is working, I'm so lost. Assistive Touch doesn't temporarily remove home button (or disappear in videos), and Guided Access disables using Control Center at all. iOS 16, btw.

We'd like to confirm some details to better understand what's happening, along with ruling out some possible causes:


  1. From what your'e describing, this sounds like a normal part of the screen, but perhaps we're misunderstanding what it is that you're experiencing. Please provide us more details as the more we have, the better all of us will understand what it is that you're asking.
  2. What occurs exactly when you do take the steps to record the screen? Here's the link again just in case: Record the screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
  3. We see you have iOS 16, but the latest version is iOS 16.1. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. Here's a link that'll show how to first back up, then Update your iPhone or iPad.

Hello!


Yes, it is a natural part of the screen, the line at the bottom that you swipe up to go to the homescreen with all the apps, etc. Nothing wrong happens when I record my screen, I tap the record button and it records like how it’s supposed to do. I just wish there was maybe a setting or similar to hide the home button that appears in screen recorded videos. I hope the image I embedded is displaying correctly, since that’s the ‘line’ (home button) I’m trying to hide in videos. It appears as visible in videos. What I’m trying to find out is if there’s a feature that hides the home button in screen recorded videos.
