Getting daily political iMessages that I do not know I ever asked for

Is it only me getting daily political imessages that I do not know I ever asked for it is it firmware 16iOS that did this to my phone. Please help figure out the trash off these stupid iMessages coming to my phone that should be illegal too new spamming my phone that is paid for.

Oh sounds great how we allow this crap to happen. Can't wait till I retire and yeah get rid of that thing to have no more footprint. Loser the phone all together Then go cash only and forget all the trash. Then I'll just get junk mail and perfect for fire starting. At least that spam is useful.

I guess the thing if like is how to set iMessage to only accept people in my contacts as best.

It’s called spam - everybody gets some. If your cellular number is known and the sender is also using an apple device to send, it will go as a blue iMessage. Or if any of your reachable at email addresses are known.


Block the sender and submit the message as spam. That’s about all you can do. Same goes for SMS messages received that are not solicited. Especially now, with is-term elections, the volume of unwanted, un-asked for political SPAM skyrockets for people living in the USA.


It is not an iOS nor a specifically iOS 16 issue - it is a USA political election cycle issue. They only way to stop it would be to never use a cellular telephone for anything.
