My IPhone is locked & says iPhone is unavailable because I was entering the wrong passcode 1) will it eventually let me enter my passcode again or 2) can I unlocked it with out erasing my data.

Once your phone is locked, your data is gone.

It's already too late to back up, the data on your iPhone is gone. Hopefully, you have a recent backup that you can use to restore the phone.
