Hello jamaalbutt,

Thank you for posting to the Apple Support Communities.

We understand that you would like to share documents to your Mac from the Files app on your iPad. We would be happy to help you with the available options.

As it turns out, you are able to access the Files app on your iPad using the Finder in macOS. Here is what you need:

  1. macOS Catalina or a later version of macOS installed on your Mac. The latest version of iPadOS installed on your iPad.
  2. An app that works with File Sharing between Mac and iPad.
  3. With your iPad is connected to your Mac, open a new Finder window.
  4. Click the Files tab to see a list of apps that can share files. If you don't see a Files section, your device doesn't have any apps that can share files.

We hope that this information helps you.

Cheers!
