Can't Sign In to Google or Google Maps?

Since updating to iOS 16.1, I can not sign into the Google or Google Maps apps on my iPhone 14 Pro. On the sign in page none of the options (forgot email, create account or next) work. Deleting the apps and reinstalling does not help.

However I can sign into Google using Safari and the issue is not present on my iPad Mini.

Suggestions how to correct this?

iPhone 14 links open App Store for installed apps I'm using an iphone 14 which is currently on ios 18.2.1 and I have had this frustrating problem ever since i switched from my iphone 11 to the iphone 14. when I click on a link, for example a google maps link, this link sends me to app store to the google maps page. when I press open it sends me to the home page on the app but not the location as if I didn't click on the link a few seconds ago. or when I click on a texted link from walmart on a grocery pick up order it also takes me to the app store when i already have the app on my phone. When i click on open it opens the walmart app but it makes me log into my account again despite already being logged into my account if i just open up the app on my phone. I want to use the app that I had downloaded already WITHOUT being sent to app store. it's driving me insane and I had this problem ever since i've had the iphone 14. Please don't tell me to restart my phone - that has been done MULTIPLE times. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled both the google maps and the walmart app which didn't resolve it either. I need an actual solution. I've google searched and found some promising suggestions but when I follow their instructions my menus aren't the same as theirs. please help me! [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Unsupported link Google Maps can’t open this link When I do a Google search for a business, like “Hair salons near me” and then tap on “directions”, it takes me to Google Maps with the message “Unsupported link, Google Maps can’t open this link”. This happens to every business search I do and forces me to find and copy and paste their address every time. Very annoying when this should be a one-tap process. I have a new iPhone 14 but it was doing this on my previous iPhone also. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Check with Google support if you are experiencing problems with their app.
