Messages don’t sync between IPad and IPhone

I got a new phone and since then my messages on my iPad don’t sync up to my phone. For example: I delete a message on my iPhone but it still appears on my ipad. How do get them to sync? Thanks

On your iPhone, open Settings ➡️ Apple ID (Your Name at Top) ➡️ iCloud ➡️ Messages.: Ensure that this switch is set to ON.

Check the same setting on your iPad as well. Ensure that iCloud for Messages is set to ON on both devices.

New Messages Session:

In iCloud Settings/Preferences, disable Messages on all your devices. Then, reenable Messages on them. Perhaps it all needs to resync?
