Planning to buy a Ultra Watch in the US, does anyone know if the cellular function will work in Sweden?

It likely will NOT. Apple Watch made for and sold in the US will pair will cellular carriers in the US, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico. If you buy your watch in the US it most likely will NOT pair with carriers in Sweden. You can of course use the watch as a GPS only model, but it would be unfortunate to own a cellular watch which can work as a cellular watch.

Buy your watch in Sweden, where you will have cellular connectivity and warranty coverage as well.

We specifically chose the apple watch so we could control contacts etc We bought one for our son about a year earlier and it works well. However, this is no longer an option as Truphone (the sole provider in AU) is no longer taking new customers. As a result family setup isnt working in AU. We returned the watch and apple gave us a refund. Apple have not updated their website and Ive tried emailing and calling no no avail. My question is this - Does anyone know if Apple is working on finding an alternative MVNO or carrier for this service? Im still keen to get one for my daughter, but if no fix is coming then I'll just move on. It would be good if Apple would change its website or at least acknowledge my complaint.. If anyone has any insight be great to hear. cheers
