My iphone is showing the count down timer in a "notification" type reminder on the lock screen. If not careful I may shut it off when opening my phone.
Is there a way to turn off the display of the countdown timer?

Are you wanting to stop notifications from this app on the Lock Screen? If so, you'll want to follow these steps to stop them from appearing on the Lock Screen:
Make sure to select one of the remaining Alert options: Notification Center or Banners, so you don't miss future notifications.
