Macbook New Clock app won't play sounds on the speaker when laptop is muted.

Hello!

I've been loving the new clock and timer app on Mac OS Ventura, the thing is if the Macbook is muted or volume is to the minimum, the timer app won't make any sound. This doesn't happen on the iPhone version. On the iPhone if you have your phone silenced the timer app will still play a sound.

Same happens when wearing headphones. On the iPhone the timer will play the sound on the speakers and the headphones. On the laptop it only plays the sound on the headphones.

Can this be fixed somehow or is there an option that I have to turn on for it to work like in the iPhone?

Hi Patricia_Ot,

Although the Mac and iPhone are similar in some ways, this is expected behavior when the Mac is muted because essentially you have muted all sound from coming through the Mac speakers. The mute option mutes all sounds on a Mac, not just some.
