I would like to know whether my iMac is 32-bit or 64-bit please.

All Mac operating systems have been 64 bit for well over a decade.

Starting with Catalina, the MacOS will only run 64 bit apps. Prior to Catalina, the MacOS could run both 32 and 64 bit apps.
