All my passwords disappeared from my Mac.

They are still on my iPhone. How do I recover them??


Am on Monterey on M1 macbook pro:

Model Name: MacBook Pro

  Total Number of Cores: 10 (8 performance and 2 efficiency)


  Memory: 64 GB

Let's start off by checking the helpful steps in this article that was linked to your posting which can help with this issue: How to find saved passwords and passkeys on your Mac - Apple Support. Follow these steps:


"View saved passwords and passkeys in System Settings

      1. Choose Apple menu  > System Settings. In macOS Monterey, choose Apple menu  > System Preferences. 
      2. Click Passwords.
      3. Sign in with Touch ID, or enter your user account password.
      4. Select a website, then click the Show Details button . In macOS Monterey, click Edit.
      • To delete a password, click Delete Password
      • To update a password, change it and then click Save.


View saved passwords and passkeys in Safari

      1. Open Safari.
      2. From the Safari menu, choose Settings (or Preferences), then click Passwords.
      3. Sign in with Touch ID, or enter your user account password.
      4. Select a website, then click Edit.
      • To delete a password, click Delete Password.
      • To update a password, change it and then click Save.

You can also use Siri to view your passwords by saying something like "Hey Siri, show my passwords."
