macbook air new SSD (empty/unformatted) - how to format + install MacOS?
Hi all
I just attempted to replace the SSD of my veteran Macbook Air (mid 2012).
The SSD is totally new and unformatted, thus it does not have a recovery partition or anything like that.
After successful installation, I started the mac and was greeted with the "?"-folder. Plugged in my time machine harddisk, just to be greeted with the unixy line
"no bootable device recognized. insert bootable device and press any key."
My time machine backup hd obviously doesn't seem to be bootable.
Put the old SSD back in and am typing this...
How can I proceed?
Thank you!
