Not sure why you ask that on an Apple forum? The question seems unrelated to Apple TV hardware.
But yes, to watch HBO Max, you will need to get the HBO Max app for Fire TV from the Amazon Fire TV Apps & Games Store on your Fore TV stick.
If you subscribed with HBO Max directly, then you can sign in to the app with your HBO account on any of your devices.
If you subscribed with HBO Max in-app on an Apple device, then that subscription is valid for Apple devices, not for Fire TV.
