Why can't I update my iPhone 8?

I can't seem to be able to download and update my iPhone 8. I can see the download options for iOS 15.7 and iOS 16, but I can't download or install the update.

Please help.

Pretty much nothing in the article applies to me.

My iPhone 8 can see the update, and I was finally able to download the update, but it took a long time of me touching my iPhone to ensure that it doesn't go to sleep.

I hope that I will be able to install iOS 16. I have my iPhone connected to iTunes on my PC.
