Apple Books & iPadOS16 on 5th gen iPad 32Gb

Not liking the new version of Apple Books included in iPadOS 16. Really miss the page turning animation, the app is sluggish and does not bookmark the correct page and I keep getting the following error message even though the book is there and readable.

My books app keeps on crashing I’m a student and I downloaded a few textbooks on my iPad. Whenever I try to highlight or long press on a word, it get stuck there. I can’t extend the blue bar upto a sentence or access the options. Other apps work completely fine, I get go back to home, open control centre etc. but when I try to open then book after restarting the app, sometimes it doesn’t open and sometimes it just shows me the front page of the textbook, that’s it. It’s becoming hard for whenever I want to access by textbooks via my iPad. And yes, in removed and reinstalled the textbook but no difference. Help me find a solution for this. Thank you

iPadOS 16.3 update issues with book app I updated to iPadOS 16.3 yesterday and am now having issues with book app. One of my purchased books (bible) shows no content or index to look up by chapter but I can scroll page by page. Is anyone else having problems?

I suggest you offload the app and download it again (offloading retains all documents and data).
