Calendar on my iMac does not find anything I put in the search box. Help

If search isn't working as expected in the Calendar app on your Mac, first ensure you are following these steps from Search for events in Calendar on Mac:

• In the Calendar app  on your Mac, enter a phrase in the search field in the top right of the Calendar window.

• As you type, matching titles, locations, attendees, and notes appear in a list of search suggestions below the search field. To search using a suggestion, click it. To search for events that contain exactly what you entered, press Return.
