Time Machine display looks different

I do not have to use Time Machine much, but in the past, it would open up a display where I could scroll to a time and date. I just opened it up and get this...See Images. The second image is when I click on the first. Is this a new format, and if so, how can I locate something from one or two hours or days ago?

the up and down arrows in the user interface dont work there is a vertical line of dates on the right side of screen in time machine... i click on them but nothing happens. i also click on the up / down arrows closer to the niddle of the screen and no affect. is there a bug in Time Machine?

Time Machine on MacBook Pro 2023 fI am having a problem with the way it is looking and I wonder if there is a way to go back a day or 2 on the Time Machine. I don't know if I accidentally fooled with a thing on the way it does things somewhere. I have been looking at the things and I just cannot tell what I did for it to do it. It just does not do what it has always been doing since I had it for the past few months. Is there a way to go back with the Time Machine to a previous date? Carol

Time Machine not working to see back in time When I enter Time Machine, I can't scroll back in time. The "back" button and the date scroller on the right side don't seem to work. I have 30 backup dates in my TimeMachine and viewing my Downloads folder which has has plenty of changes over time. Can anyone help? My TM drive is for formatted APFS (Case Sensitive). Running latest OS on M1 Steps I've tried; Restart Mac Tried deleting the .inProgress file in Backups.backupdb folder but searched and couldn't find this file anvwhere on the TM Someone recommended using "Shift+cmd+C" which works and allows me to rudimentary ways of viewing folders. However that approach makes it difficult to simply view a folder changing over time by scrolling back and forth. Why isn't my TM just working as normal? Why do I have to use that command to see back in time?

How are you opening Time Machine? The way is to click on the TM menu bar Icon and select Browse Time Machine Backups and this works in Ventura as it always has.

Mal-S - Thank you. That worked. I just never had to do it that way before. I used to just click on the Disc Icon and open it.
