Spying and / or listening in on me

I have BAD paranoia, and today my phone was paired to my friends Bluetooth in the car because I was the last one to have the Bluetooth on therefore the music I was listening too was coming out into the car. The he texted me to let me know my Bluetooth was connected (no big deal) so I texted him “oh ok I’m sorry” but then he also texted “I heard someone saying “OH MY GOSH”” maybe it was the song.. but now I’m worried. Is it possible for someone to listen and record my convos and spy in on me!!

You say you were texting him? Were you not in the car with them? Bluetooth only has a range of about 10 meters. Plus I have never known of a car that can pair a Bluetooth device without you allowing that pairing initially?

And Bluetooth has no access to the built in iPhone microphone (it would be pointless to have such a connection), only externally paired microphones.

Last time I was in the car I forgot to disconnect my Bluetooth, then when I was in my room he was in the car getting ready to drive off. While he was in the garage he texted me that my Bluetooth was on and he had heard someone saying “oh my gosh”

Correct. Last time I was in the car I forgot to disconnect my phone, and they was in the garage when the music started playing from my phone so the car was only a couple of feet away from me.
