Creating custom date formats within Numbers using an iPhone

There was an interesting post explaining creating custom date formats within Numbers. See: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5036084?answerId=29507852022#29507852022

I found out though that those instructions have to be applied differently if one is using Numbers on an iPhone. Has anyone been able to determine how to do custom dates using Numbers on an iPhone?

Hello Aguilasolar,

You can format dates, currency, and additional information in Numbers on iPhone. The steps specific to formatting dates are listed below and can be found in the following article. The article also references other content that you can format as well.

  1. "Select the cells or table you want to format, tap the Format button, then tap Format.
  2. Tap the Info button to the right of Date & Time.
  3. Tap the options that match the display formats you want for date and time."

If you tap None, no date or time is displayed in the cell, even if a date or time was entered and used in calculations.
