Text responses go to wrong country code

Recently I went to Portugal and when I was there I bought a sim card and put it in my iPhone 11 Pro, with my primary e-sim still in it.

When I got home to Australia, I deactivated the Portugal sim-card, deleted it and took the sim card out.

Now when someone call me I respond with text, my iPhone changes the calling numbers country code to +31.

Anybody know how to solve this?

I have tried reset network and I have also tried to delete me e-sim and activate a new e-sim.

Help! Thanks!

Hello Caniwi27,

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities.

We understand the country code is changing although you've already reset the network settings, correct?

If we understood that correctly, let's check your Apple ID country or region to see if that may need to be adjusted. For assistance with this, follow along with the steps below. You can also locate additional steps here: Change your Apple ID country or region - Apple Support

Use your iPhone or iPad to change your region

1. Open the Settings app.

2. Tap your name, then tap Media & Purchases.

3. Tap View Account. You might be asked to sign in.

4. Tap Country/Region.

iPhone showing Country/Region in Account Settings.

5. Tap Change Country or Region.

6. Tap your new country or region, then review the Terms & Conditions.

7. Tap Agree in the upper-right corner, then tap Agree again to confirm.

8. Select a payment method and enter your new payment information and billing address, then tap Next. You must enter a valid payment method for your new country or region.

If that looks correct, let's go to Settings > General > Date & Time. From here, confirm "Set Automatically" is enabled and shows the correct Time Zone. Let us know the results from here.

Have a great day!
