The total amount the Family Sharing group can access is 200GB. This is available to everyone, not just the person who bought and/or paid for it.
But it's only 200GB, not 200GB multiplied by the number of family group members.
With Family Sharing, everyone in your Family Sharing group can share an iCloud+ plan, including premium features and all the storage you need with a single subscription.

You cannot limit the storage for the family members. If one of them should be greedy or not understand how iCloud is working, you will have a problem. Do only share the cloud storage with family members you can trust to be considerate.
Excellent advice léonie - and the chief culprits in my house hogging the space are the (adult) children.
My advice abhimanyu130 is to admit defeat now and go directly to 2TB, do no pass go.
