Mac Mail Ventura emails sent twice

Hey everyone,

I just upgraded my MacBook Pro M1 16inch to Mac OS Ventura. Since I upgraded, recipients complains that they receive the email twice ... looks like rebooting Mail stop the behavior for a while, but it's back after a little while. Could the new fonction 'undo send' be the culprit ? Anyone out there who has this problem ?

I tested this on my multiple account (Gmail or Icloud) and they're all affected with the same problem.

Thanks for your input.

Alright, this sounds like a conversation with myself !

If anyone has the same problem, I found the culprit. A third-party app called 'Antidote' who corrects your grammar is the trouble maker here ... once I disable the plugin in Mail the problem was gone.

I've filed a ticket with the company and hope they get a patch soon !

I am having the exact same problem since upgrading my 14" MacBook Pro to Ventura. Tried a bunch of stuff including deleting and starting from scratch all of my e-mail accounts. However, I did not thought of Antidote, that I am also using...(was never a problem before). Will test disabling it.

UPDATE: Antidote disable - everything works!!! Thank you so much for reporting this.

If that could help anyone, I just looked at the raw source of the duplicated emails and they are identical except for the last line where one reads --Apple-Mail=_98B1BB0A-6FD6-45B1-AB50-AEF9654227EA-- and the other one --Apple-Mail=_AF6E2546-6379-4F7C-87F7-A0C32CD370C4--

This is not a bug of showing duplicate in the sent folder but in fact Mail sending the email twice (I had many recipients sending me emails about this today)

I'll continue my search ... might as well start a fresh new .plist

It's weird I'm the only one affected by this bug ...

I'll report back
