Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. We recommend to verify that the notifications for the Messages app on the Apple Watch is selected to "Mirror my iPhone." You can check by opening the Watch app on the paired iPhone > tapping on the "My Watch" tab in the bottom left corner > Notifications > Messages.
In addition, let's ensure that the feature of "Do Not Disturb" is turned off. This will ensure that you're able to receive the notifications for your text messages. You can check by swiping up on the Watch Face to open Control Center and make sure that the Do Not Disturb icon is turned off
Following these steps will help ensure that you can receive the notifications from the Messages app.
