That message is a SCAM to steal your identity. That is not Apple’s phone number; it is the number of a criminal syndicate out to steal your identity so they can drain your bank account. DO NOT RESPOND IN ANY WAY!

I tried to click into a website for reclaimed wood flooring) and it brought me directly into Apple Music, and then to a website “applecareonline.com” where it put a message in a quite square across my screen:

Your iPhone has been locked due to detected illegal activity. Your apple account has been disabled! Immediately call Apple Support to unlock it!.

I called the number and a man with an accent answered. I immediately felt suspicious because there had been no robot answering machine interface. I’m suspecting this wasn’t really Apple Support? I googled this phone number to see if I could detect a scam but couldn’t find an answer.

Can someone help answer what’s going on? What do I do? Etc.

Why did the apple Moderator remove the image that I had attached of the screenshot of the message?

We can't answer for the Apple Moderator(s). I very much doubt that they will answer you though.

And why was the phone number that was listed to call, why was that number erased from my message by the moderator?

Non-Apple numbers are often removed. A guess would be that it removed the chances of anyone else calling that number by mistake, or as a test. If the Apple Moderator answers, we'll know for sure.
