Hello. My MacOS Sierra 10.12.6 is telling me that my Safari is not the latest version I have. How do I update it? What link do I need to click? Moreso, if I will update it, will it affect my existing files like my google sheets, google drive, facebook messenger, etc? If yes, how?

Upgrading macOS will upgrade Safari: Update macOS on Mac - Apple Support.
If you are already using the latest version of Safari for your Mac, there are other browsers. Consider Brave, or Firefox:
I know you are concerned about Facebook and Google but I don't use them so I cannot give you a definitive answer.
It stands to reason that they are more likely to support new versions of Safari and other browsers than the one you're using. Sierra should be considered quite old at this point, and many websites are going to complain.
Thank you very much John for the input. I will do a thorough review of my files, back it up as I would regularly do and probably do a general clean up before upgrading to a higher version.
