If you migrated the library as a whole then Music should have all the same music content as the iTunes library it was derived from. If you imported the content into a new empty library then any untagged music, typically .wav files, would have imported as Unknown Artist/Unknown Album. In the Songs view of the library use View > Show Filter Field to enable a better search function. Type in part of the title of one of these recordings and see if anything shows up. If not you should be able to copy over the files manually and add them to your library.

Is this an upgrade to Monterey from Mohave or earlier on the same computer, or a migration from another? See What happened to iTunes? - Apple Support. Audiobooks, podcasts, voice memos, and tones, are not catered for in the new Music app. Video content has been moved to the TV app.

Thanks for your help. I can't find them even using your tips re the filter.
Not sure how to do this manually!
It's just a bit annoying as I didn't import the library - it just came up with the music, but not the rest. :-)
I had these on my (10 year old) iMac -transferred from CDs. And now cannot see them on my (1 year old) MacBook. I’m guessing there’s no way round this?
Thanks for your reply :-)
Do you still have the 10 year old iMac, a backup of it, or any other device that holds this content?

Yes! I still have it - working perfectly ;-)
Great, so what content is that you're missing on the new machine?

A series of recordings which I had transferred to iTunes from CDs. They were audio tracks which accompanied text books.
When I open the Music app I can only see music but not these tracks...
