Hi,

Are you using an AirPrint-enabled HP printer? If so, and there is a problem with device discovery, you could try the following procedure (in this order, with these waiting times):

Power off the Wi-Fi router, the HP printer, the iPad, and all other devices/computers. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the router. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the HP printer. Wait a minute or two. Power on the iPad. Finally, power on all other devices/computers.

Use AirPrint to print from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

If in doubt about AirPrint-compatibility, or in case of further questions, please post back with the exact printer model.
