Just out of the blue?

Remove and reinsert the SIM card.

If it doesn't help contact your carrier, maybe the SIM card is damaged, ask for a replaced (new) card. Normally it is free.

Also  ask to check if the SIM tray is bent, as even a tiny misalignment can cause the SIM card to not fully connect with the internal contacts in your iPhone.

If you already tried (to no avail) ALL the steps provided in the support article that led you here, try to reset network settings in your unidentified iPhone model, going to: Settings>General>Transfer or Reset [Device] >Reset>Reset Network Settings, bearing in mind that this also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you've used before, but NO other data is affected. When done, restart your iPhone.

If the issue still persists, contact Apple Support directly, using this link:--> Get Support or make an appointment (*) and have your device inspected at an Apple Store or AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) among this list:--> Apple – Location Selector. After checking it out, they'll give you all the available options.

Giulio
