Clipping tracks

Hi,

I am a complete novice with "Garage band", but my hour of need may be upon me...

I have purchased some music from the iTunes store for a Slideshow I am preparing in "Photos". However there are long periods of silence at the beginning and end of each Track. This is obviously not great for a Slideshow.

My question therefore is :

Is Garage Band the tool I need to trim the silent ends off the tracks, and if so how? Or am I overcomplicating things and there is a much simpler way to achieve this?

Many thanks,

David

Hello David,

The Audio Editor in GarageBand allows you to move and trim audio regions, split and join them, and edit them in other ways. Check out the Audio Editor guide here: Intro to the Audio Editor in GarageBand on Mac - Apple Support.

For overall support with GarageBand look over the macOS app user guides: GarageBand for MacUser Guide - Apple Support. There you can find overall support and troubleshooting for GarageBand. Or, you can reach out to Apple Support directly by calling the number that is most local to your region: Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support. They can offer you further support for their app.

Kindest regards!
