2 beat fit pro devices for 2 apple products on the same account

I have 2 beat fit pros earbuds, purchased recently. I have 2 iPads on the same account. Because they are both on the same account, each time either myself, or my wife’s with her set go onto her iPad (tied to my account), I pick her beats up and I lose my connection or I end up hearing her audio on mine. Is there a setting so you can set the beats up to be independent to the iPad being used instead of trying to pick up what is close tied to the account. My wife never set up her own account for Apple so when the beats are on searching, they are looking for whatever Apple device is on that account.

iPad (6th gen) WiFi

Hi Railbake,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having an issue with your Beats Fit Pro earbuds connecting to another Apple device in your home. We'd like to help.

From what you've described, it sounds like this is expected behavior since you're both using the same Apple ID and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections. Have you thought about creating a separate Apple ID for you or your wife? An Apple ID is best used by one person because things like this can be confusing. You'll still be able to share apps and media through Family Sharing, if that's a concern.

This resource can help you with this process and explain why it's important to have a separate Apple ID. Make sure that each family member has a unique Apple ID - Apple Support

Let us know how that goes.

Cheers!
