Mac OS keeps asking for my google account password

Hey! I have configured a Google account in my Mac, and I have it configured to sync email and contacts. MacOS keeps asking for my google account password. This happens every day, and sometimes several times during the same day, I'm talking about 6 or 7 times a day which is pretty annoying.

I've tried all the help article suggestions with no effect. I already deleted the account and added it again, no luck.

It doesn't happen the same if I delete the account, and configure my google account in another email client like Spark.

Thanks!

Hi there JorgeZai,

There are several reasons why Mail may be asking for your Google account password. Have a look at this information to learn why:

Why is Mail asking for your password?
Mail asks for your password when it can connect successfully to your email provider, but can't connect to your email account because your email provider isn't accepting your email password.
Your email provider may reject your password for several reasons, including:
- You're not using your current email password. If you updated the password on another device, make sure that you're using the same password on your Mac.
- Your email provider needs you to update or reset your password for security reasons. For example, if you're using Google’s two-step verification, your Gmail account in Mail requires the appropriate app-specific password.
- Your email provider deactivated or suspended your account. Contact your email provider for help.

To try to resolve the issue, work through these steps:

Check your password in Internet Accounts preferences
Depending on the type of email account you're using, you might be able to correct the password as follows:
1. Quit Mail. If it doesn't quit, you can force it to quit.
2. Choose Apple menu  > System Settings (or System Preferences), then click Internet Accounts.
3. Click your mail account.
4. Click the Details button, if present.
5. If you see a password field for your account, delete the password and type the correct password.
6. Close the settings window, then open Mail and try using your account again.
If Mail still asks for your password, the password is probably incorrect. Your email provider can help you verify your email settings and make sure that you're using the correct password.

Take care.

Thanks for your help, I've already tried all those suggestions and nothing changed. Mac OS keeps asking for my password every day and some times several times a day. The same happens with my wife's Macbook.

This only happens with Gmail, and in Mac OS. Btw, my account is not blocked, inactive or suspended, Google doesn't need to reset my password, there are no connection issues, and my password is correctly typed. It works perfectly fine in other operations systems, i.e. Android, and other email clientes, i.e. Spark. If I use Spark in Mac OS I don't have any issues, I don't like that email client though, but I cannot return to Mail because of this issue.

Thanks. Best!
