ipad battery quickly loosing charge

Up to a month ago the battery on my iPad would last all day. Suddenly it started draining from 100% charged to shutting down completely within 15 minutes to half an hour. I tried doing a full reset and while that gave me more storage space it did not help with the battery problem. The battery drains even when plugged in. Can I fix this?

There are a few things you'll want to confirm to maximize your iPad's battery life.

Confirm your iPad is running the latest iPadOS: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
Optimize your settings. Dimming your screen or enabling Auto-Brightness can help with extending your Battery life. You can go to Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size, turn on Auto- Brightness.
