Disable "enter passcode to start a backup" iPhone Nag 15.7.1

I updated my daughter's iPhone 7 to 15.7.1 and now every few minutes I get a password prompt that says "enter passcode to start a backup." iCloud backup is disabled! I don't want to back up to the cloud...my internet is too slow. How can I get rid of this? It is super annoying. It keeps the screen lit until I "cancel" it and I am afraid it will just drain the battery unless someone is nearby to cancel it every 5-10 minutes.
