Two years on from the fiasco of Winzip 8 with big sur. it looks like history is repeating itself with Winzip 10 and Ventura!
Exactly the identical problem. The new version installs but then hangs when opening leaving you wondering what on earth is happening.
nice to see the support remains consistent and has not changed. A week later and still no solution.

The system requirements for WinZip 10 for Mac is macOS 10.10 or higher. That is not the same as explicitly saying hey, we recompiled and tested this app for macOS Ventura 13. Apple provides them the same developer tools that all other vendors have access to and to still suggest macOS 10.10 or higher is really misleading about what they have done in preparation for Ventura.
I would contact Winzip and ask them point blank if they tested Winzip 10 for Mac on macOS Ventura. It may not be compatible.

Why not just use the zip command in Terminal? Seems to always work no matter what OS version I have installed.
I’m delighted to say I now have a full refund from Winzip. They were unable to resolve the problem and continuously recommended removing and reinstalling each time. The level of customer support was non existent. The only time I ever needed it was to create encrypted zip files, but I will find another way.

I missed it too. I imagine if the app is incompatible everyone will have issues.

The same issue application hangs will not open zipped files or run as a standalone app. Ventura OS
Running Ventura 13.0 and before that Monterey 12.6.1 and before that Big Sur 11.7.1 - and WinZip 8 is still working as expected

Here is my experience: Winzip runs on one of my Mac Airs, not the other. Both are running Ventura OS. It must have an issue with some other app installed.
