New iPhone: Notes photos not loading

I setup a new iPhone 14 pro today and my notes are there, but none of the photos I had in my notes will appear. They are blank on the note but show a white box from the file/ folder view.

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS 16

lmsealy,

You mentioned that the images appear on the iCloud website. That's a good sign. The steps that we are going to suggests next will allow a fresh sync from the iCloud server.

While you have a stable Wi-Fi network available, we'd like to have you try turning iCloud Notes off on your iPhone in Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud. You may need to select the "Show All" option to see the Notes option.

You'll be asked if you want to delete iCloud notes from your iPhone. You already confirmed that the Notes appear as expected on the iCloud website, so it is OK to delete from your iPhone.

After Notes are turned off, please restart your iPhone: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

When your iPhone restarts, make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi, then enable iCloud Notes again. While the syncing process takes place, keep your iPhone connected to power.

Let us know if these steps resolve the issue!

Hi lmsealy, We appreciate you reaching out to us. We understand that the images on your notes are not showing.

We’d like to gather additional details that may help us be in a better position to assist you.

Are you syncing your notes through your iCloud account?

If yes, please check if you can see the images when you view your notes on iCloud.com. iCloud page

If you can see the images when viewing your notes on our iCloud page, please give the device up to 48 hours to have all of your data synced.

Since the device has just been set up today, the restore process or the sync is most likely not yet finished.

Take care!
