iCloud photo transfer to imac

Hi- can anyone please tell me how I transfer photos from icon onto an iMac and keep the dates as listed. I have googled it to death and the download zip files lose all dates when imported? Cheers

Transferring iCloud photos mixes up dates I've been trying for years now to transfer my iPhone/iCloud photos to my PC. The problem is, whenever I try to do so, the real dates of the photos weren't transferred properly. There is a significant difficulty with photos saved from WhatsApp, and other untraceable date-mismatching. I thought I found a solution now, by approving this: Letting iCloud place its photos in this folder: After a few minutes, the folder was filled with all the photos: As seen, the photos aren't downloaded on the computer, but rather still stored on the cloud. The problem now is, some photos have different values for: 'Date', 'Date created', and 'Date taken', as follows: The values for 'Date' and 'Date taken' are the real dates, as opposed to 'Date created'. The thing is that once I download some of these out-of-sync photos, the 'Date created' value replaces 'Date', and 'Date taken' is completely erased. How can I download photos from iCloud with their original date. I have a Windows PC. I am logged into iCloud using Chrome Browser. When I download photos from iCloud via the browser all photos end up with the current datetime. How can I download my photos so that the original date is retained? (Note that I don't have a Mac and I am not a regular user of Mac or Apple software). The question has been asked a million times in the forum, but the answers provided are confusing and unclear about exactly what is required. What I have found are screen shots from Mac users, or references to Finder without any reference to exactly what Finder is. (I even found many answers where people accept advice to only look at their photos on Apple devices. How ridiculous!) If retaining the date is not possible when accessing photos via a browser, it would make sense to highlight this limitation in iCloud when you export photos. That way would Apple would save themselves a lot of unnecessary questions. Thanks very much for any advice!

How to sort downloaded iCloud photos once on PC? How can I sort my photos and videos downloaded from iCloud to PC by date? Right now, they download into a zip file. After I unzip them into a folder, there is nothing sorted by date into folders. When I try to organize my photos, it is almost impossible without looking up the properties of each photo. There has to be a way.

Try Downloading All of iCloud:
