M1 Wake on lan

I have an M1 Mac Mini on the latest OS 13.0. Im trying to get it to WOL from shutdown but am not having any joy. I have enabled wake for network access in settings. From my internet searches i have seen some results saying it does not work. Looking to see if anyone in the wider world has this function working?

Wake for network access not working I have an 27" iMac (screenshot specs attached) and I also have an M1 Macbook Air (screenshot specs attached). I have "Wake For Network Access" checked on both computers, however if the iMac is in sleep mode, it does not appear in the Finder sidebar on the Macbook Air. I have to physically wake the iMac, and then it will appear in the sidebar of the Macbook Air, which defeats the purpose of the "Wake For Network Access" feature. Any advice? Thanks. Wake up lan in OSX Ventura Hi, Why did Apple kill the wake up lan feature? I'd like to access my Mac from a distance when it's sleeping. The feature was there, but it does not work anymore. Kind regards, Onze

Self assigned IP after awakening mac from sleep I connect my Mac to the ethernet using an adapter, and it shows Connected in network settings. However, if I let my Mac go to sleep without unplugging the adapter and then wake it up later, it displays a 'self-assigned IP' in the network settings However , If I unplug and replug the adapter, it connects back. How to overcome above?

In the Terminal Application copy and paste the below command

man pmset

If not mistaken, there is something about Wake on LAN in there

womp - wake on ethernet magic packet (value = 0/1). Same as "Wake for network access" in System Settings.
