Create a photo album friends can add to?

My husband just passed away. I've created an album of photos of him that I'd like to share as a slideshow at the Celebration of Life event; but would also like to open it for friends to add their photos of him to it as well. Is this doable? Would it need a password?

OR am I better off uploading the album to Flickr or some such and trying to set it up there? (If so, how do I upload an album of photos to Flickr?
