Just my husband's iphone goes directly to voicemail

We both have iPhones. My husband is in my favorites. He is not listed as blocked. But everytime he calls, it goes directly to voicemail, I get no notification at all. Everyone else, my phone rings or vibrates on silent. This is obviously very annoying. I've checked every setting I can find. Anywhere else I should look?

iPhone XS, iOS 15

Greetings SPLON,

We’re understanding you to say that when your husband calls you, their calls go directly to voicemail on your device however you don’t have the contact card or number blocked through the iOS call blocking options.

Do you have any third-party call filtering software or options, possibly through your carrier even? We’re going to provide an article below with some things to check, even a few settings that may seem innocuous when a contact is listed as a Favorite. Detect and block spam phone calls

So, let’s begin by having you turn off ‘Silence Unknown Callers’ if it is enabled and test having your husband call you. Any change?

To turn off Silence Unknown Callers, go to Settings > Phone, then scroll down, tap Silence Unknown Callers, and turn off the feature.

Then, checking for third-party apps to filter and detect spam calls -

  1. Go to Settings > Phone.
  2. Tap Call Blocking & Identification.
  3. Under Allow These Apps To Block Calls And Provide Caller ID, turn the app on or off.

Another step you can take is to delete his contact card from your device and re-create it. Then test again.

We’ll be curious to get the results.

Thanks.
