I hung on to my old Iphone 7 but I no longer need it. Can I just sell it back to AT&T? Should I sell it online? Is it useless? It's completely reset but I haven't taken out the sim card and swapped that or anything, do I need to?
You can still try selling your iPhone 7 on places like eBay, or to a friend or relative. Chances that AT&T will buy it back will be slim to none. As far as the SIM card, you should keep it. Do not include it with the phone. The new owner will need to get one from their cellular provider anyways.
Regardless, you should properly remove your Apple ID from this phone so that it could be activated by the new owner. Just follow the steps in this support article:
