Does fcp still export while the laptop is off (i.e. the screen is down)

I am wondering if fcp will still export while the laptop is in a rest mode. screen is closed and down. if not, does it pause and resume when laptop is on again? or will I have to start new export all over?

If you close the lid on your mac laptop, it will go to sleep. All applications are paused. It will resume when you wake up your mac again.

If you have a long export to do, leave your mac working and make sure that it is not set to go to sleep after a period of inactivity, or at at a set time.

(it’s ok to let the screen turn off, just so long as you set your mac not to sleep when the screen turns off)
